Spirituality

As envisaged by the founder, SDC Members strive to live fully the counsels and teaching of the Gospel. Members are lay people who want to serve God through the ministry of Catechesis. Very important in SDC spirituality are the virtues of meekness and humility. Combined with this is the willingness to do God's will and all this for his glory.

SDC Members come from all walks of life. Some are office workers, others teachers or factory workers. No occupation is a hindrance for embracing SDC spirituality.

We take no vows (as in the case of religious orders) but we opt to lead a celibate life, to be witnesses of the Gospel message and to be able to give our best to God and the Church especially by working in catechesis in various ways.
