Correction

Correction is severe for one who leaves the way; whoever hates bing reprimanded will die.

Proverbs 15:10

Sometimes people want to correct me about what I do
Sometimes at home ... or my boss at work ...
And other people too.

I hate being told off, Lord ...
I always want others to say how good I am!
But I also know I fail sometimes.
I fail and make mistakes ... small mistakes and big ones too.

Help me, Lord,
Show me how to handle it ... to accept correction for what I do wrong.
Give me humility ... take away the pride in me!
Help me understand that nobody's perfect ... including me!
Help me understand that being corrected leads to better things.

Help me then to put things right.
