The Church

I write to you in the hope that I may be able to come to you soon; but in case I should be delayed, I want you to know how people ought to behave in God's household - that is the Church of the living God, pillar and support of the truth.

1 Timothy 3:14-15

Lord,
Perfect your Church in faith and love.
Open our eyes to the needs of all;
Inspire us with words and deeds
To comfort those who labour and are burdened;
Keep our service of others
Faithful to the example and command of Christ.
Let your Church be a living witness
To truth and freedom, to justice and peace,
That all people may be lifted up
By the hope of a world made new.
