Love of Enemy

I say this to you who are listening:
Love your enemies,
do good to those who hate you,
bless those who curse you,
pray for those who treat you badly.

Luke 6:27-28

Jesus ... What is that all about?
How can I ever do that?
Loving my enemy? Pray for them? Do good to them?
I fell you're asking too much of me ...

Just want to hit back ...
wish them the same as they did to me!
Retribution ... comeuppance ...

I know that's not what you did when you were here on earth.
I know you forgave
Up there ... nailed to a cross ... I know you forgave them all.
Help me then. Help me to do the same.
Help my weakness. Give me strength to forgive my enemy ...
To be able to pray for them... to be ready to help them even ...
It will be very hard, Lord ... but with your help
