A favourite anecdote that St George Preca used to narrate quite often in his talks was the following about a doctor's prescription.
Dr Smith, an Irish doctor who also took his spiritual life very seriously always used to add three words at the bottom of every prescription he wrote for his patients: Quiet, diet and merriment.
This is the very useful recipe not just for a healthy body but also for a healthy soul. It is a fact that there is no quiet and peace of mind where there is sin; there is no good health when one eats and drinks more than its needed; there is no joy when one's conscience is not at rest.
