Forgiveness of Sins

Let us reflect and see our Lord healing a paralysed man, after telling him "Your sins are forgiven", bidding him to rise, take up his bed and go home. Jesus did this to show the scribes and the Pharisees that he had power on earth to forgive sins.

The men who had put the paralysed man down through the roof, and all those present were filled with awe and were astonished when they saw how the paralysed man was healed.
